The Rubens House is also (partially) accessible to reduced-mobility and disabled visitors.

Reduced-mobility visitors

  • The Rubens House is a historic building that does not have a lift. As a result, only the ground floor and the garden are accessible to wheelchair users. You may call on the assistance of staff members if the need arises.
  • Your escort gets free entry.
  • Washroom facilities are handicap accessible.
  • Parking options for reduced-mobility persons can be found on the website Parking in Antwerp.

 

Persons with a hearing impairment

  • You will receive a museum guidebook covering the highlights of the museum. You can also download the exhibition hall texts here.

Persons with a visual impairment

  • You will receive a museum guidebook covering the highlights of the museum. You can also download the exhibition hall texts here.
  • Service dogs are welcome in the Rubens House.

Babies and small children

  • The Rubens House is not accessible to prams. During your visit, your pram will be stored next to the Italian staircase in the courtyard.
  • A baby changing table is not available.
