Self-guided visit for school groups
Would you like to visit the Rubenshuis with your pupils, but without a guide? In that case, you are also more than welcome.
The Rubens Experience provides an unforgettable immersion into the artist’s life. Although we welcome pupils of all ages with their teachers, we have found that children aged 10 and above find the underground Rubens world more captivating. Watch, listen, and play your way through Rubens’s multifaceted life.
Do you prefer a walk around the garden with your pupils? No problem, here too you can briefly make time stop. A self-guided visit to the garden does not mean you are left to your own devices. Pupils can explore the garden at their own pace, while listening to fascinating stories and facts with the Rubens Garden podcast.
Practical information
For whom?
- The Rubens Experience is ideally suited for pupils aged 11 and upwards.
- Naturally, pupils of all ages arewelcome to come and explore the recently renovated museum.
How large can our group be?
- The Rubens Experience can accommodate up to 45 pupils and their teachers or other supervisors.
- The garden’s capacity is much larger. Are you visiting with a group of more than 100 participants? Let us know, and we’ll see what’s possible.
Price?
- School visits are free for pupils and students. Also for teachers (teacher card required).
When?
- Daily except on Wednesday (our closing day).
- The Rubenshuis is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 am until 5 pm. On Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 6 pm.
